It’s something interesting this time. The summer of 2009 i was commissioned to do a book cover for “Jimmy Mack”. The story is about a Mafia boss and a recording label owner called Jimmy Mack. The scene is laid in the Harlem renaissance and the youth of New York. Since we talk about Harlem and a record label in this story, my idea is to make something crazy of these 2 elements. I immediately came up with the idea of putting real records and turn-tables on the project building’s rooftops. I grabbed my painting brushes and oil colors and created this, then i created the typography for the title. Here are 2 versions, the naked art and the layout itself. Hope you dig it.  You can order the book here.
